Collaborator, Performer

Tammy Carrasco

Tammy Carrasco (she/her) is a dance artist-educator who choreographs as a way of thinking with place. In her work, domestic interiors, architectural edges, bodily structures, and the stories/histories that shape them are active partners in revealing interiority and the negotiations of shared space. Tammy has performed professionally in her own work and with Silvana Cardell Dance Theater, Leslie Dworkin, Cara Hagan, Helen Simoneau Danse, among others, and is honored to perform in Nichole Canuso’s Lunar Retreat. Tammy’s choreography has been presented at American Dance Festival/Faculty Concert, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, Dixon Place, Dumbo Dance Festival, Movement Research at Judson Church, Philadelphia Dance Projects, Triskelion Arts, and WestFest NYC. Tammy is Interim Director of Dance and Visting Professor at Bryn Mawr College, and has taught and created work at colleges and festivals nationwide. She holds an MFA from The Ohio State University, BFA from University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and is a Walnut Hill School for the Arts alum. tammycarrasco.org
